XFO returns to Sideouts Bar And Eatery for XFO 25: Outdoor War 4.

Saturday August 9, 2008 will bring about another exciting chapter in the history of the XFO. It’s time once again for the summer to really sizzle with hot XFO action. A stacked card will be highlighted by the return of four time XFO lightweight champion and IFL standout Bart “Bartimus” Palaszewki in the main event. This is a once in a lifetime chance to see Bart in action in the organization where he made a name for himself upon first entering the sport.

Former WEC fighter Justin McElfresh will also be on hand to defend his light heavyweight title. That’s not the only title on the line as fresh off his appearance at Adrenaline MMA John Hosman looks to defend his bantamweight title against Canadian prospect James Haourt.

Also in action will be the rising star of Team Curran, Pat Curran. He will look to improve his pro record to 3-0. Dom O’ Grady looks to rebound from his loss at Adrenaline MMA against HIT Squad member Jeremiah Riggs. Ryan Sturdy looks to continue his winning ways in a tough middleweight scrap against Victor O’ Donnell. Tony Marti is hoping to stay undefeated in the XFO against another HIT Squad representative in Amir Khillah. Craig Kaufmann will face a stout challenge in the fighting Marine from Team Curran, Tom Belt. Undefeated welterweight Matt Veach squares off against the always rough and ready Brent Mehroff at welterweight.

Starting off the action packed day will be the amateur contests. In action will be Team Curran standouts Brett Brendel, Ryan Corcoran and Blaine Podkowa. Representing the Midwest Training Center are Mike Lullo, Matt Tobie as well as Pat Hastings. More young prospects will join the fray as these young men seek to improve their skills on the way to becoming exciting pro fighters.

The official word is Bart’s opponent failed a medical test prior to the bout so it had to be canceled. Keep an eye out for Bart in the WEC though!
