On January 17th Nate Mohr will face German fighter and kickboxing champion, Denis Siver, at UFC 92 in Dublin, Ireland. Mohr has been out for the past year working on his Muay Thai, BJJ and wrestling while rehabilitating a knee injury suffered at UFC 79. This will be a true test for Mohr as both fighters like to stand and bang.
How is training going and how is the leg?
Training is going well and I owe a lot to my team here at Team Curran MMA. The leg is all good and I feel strong, I can’t wait to get back in the Octagon.
How do you see this fight going?
Well Dennis is a tough opponent but I am very confident in my training and my team so I feel confident going into this fight. I have some of the best training you can get in all facets of the game so I am comfortable wherever this fight goes. I will be dictating the pace and looking for a KO.
Are you worried about ring rust?
No, we train like we fight so I am not worried about that. I have world class training partners in Bart and Jeff and the rest of Team Curran. We have also flown in some very tough guys from SuckerPunch so this is one of the best camps I have had to prepare for a fight.
Anyone you would like to thank?
Yes I would like to thank all the guys on my team for keeping me motivated after my injury and for getting me ready for this fight. I would like to thank TapouT and Gamma 0 for there support and hopefully I will be celebrating at D|two in Dublin after the fight!
We would like to recognize TapouT, DynaPep and Gamma-O for supporting the stars in the SuckerPunch stable. It’s sponsors like these that truly help evolve this sport.
