SUCKERPUNCH SIGNS NEW TALENT

SuckerPunch Entertainment is pleased to announce the addition of three promising new prospects to the SuckerPunch stable of fighters. These gentlemen are highly-regarded, with very bright futures in front of them:
Igor Almeida
Middleweight Igor Almeida is an undefeated prospect who comes highly recommended by UFC veteran Roberto “The Spider” Traven. Born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, Almeida is a Brazilian Jiu -Jitsu Black Belt under the decorated Eduardo Brigadeiro.
Having trained in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil for four years under Sergio Souza and Brazilian Top Team co-founder Murilo Bustamante, Almeida moved to Florida to continue to train, where he has been for the last seven years. He began training in mixed martial arts and Muay Thai in 2003, with two of those years coming at the Xtreme Couture facility in Florida.
Almeida has also been teaching Brazilian Jiu -Jitsu for the past four years, and holds an unblemished combined amateur/professional MMA record of 10-0 (5-0 amateur, 5-0 professional), with all ten wins coming by way of submission in the 1st round. Big things are expected out of Igor, and we believe he’ll be representing SuckerPunch in a big promotion very soon!
Ururahy Rodrigues
SuckerPunch’s newest lightweight prospect is Ururahy Rodrigues. Having fought most of his career in Brazil between 155 lbs. and 170 lbs., Ururahy, or “Little Head” as he is known to his Brazilian friends, holds an (unofficial) professional record of 16-0.
Now fighting out of Atlanta, Georgia, Ururahy is committed to fighting exclusively at 155 lbs., and the SuckerPunch family is excited to help build him up, and looks forward to seeing him in a big MMA promotion soon.
Patrick Ferm
Rounding out the SuckerPunch new blood is featherweight prospect Patrick Ferm. With an amateur record of 9-1, Patrick is ready to turn pro. His coach, Ty Pilgrim out of Thunder MMA Academy in Muskogee, OK, sought out SuckerPunch to manage the career of his young fighter, known affectionately as “Lil Yoda.”
Patrick holds All-American Honors in freestyle, Greco-Roman, and collegiate wrestling, and is a 5-time national qualifier in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. On the MMA side of things, this extremely strong wrestler has grappled his way to holding both the lightweight and featherweight belts in the promotion Champions of the Cage.

I am here to congratulate the “cabecinha” Ururahy, I knew this warrior to more 18 years behind in the wheels of hencoop, saw his battle from that time, go out in the hand with strong face, thin, very often “bebado”, kkk, in the street or inside the academy, without disloyalty everything of loyal form, for this I say that it deserves to arrive where it arrived, we have your pride because of having got everything of clean, honest and loyal form, however with much difficulty. I am exited about the opportunities that are being presented to Patrick as a 19year old talent by Brian and Suckerpunch. Now finding out that SP also signed Igor Almeida just speaks volumes for their nose for talent, i know Igor from my time in Florida, believing that Ururahy is as good; the 3 will turn Heads in the MMA world.

I’m so proud of Patrick!!! He is so much fun to watch fight! Great attitude in the gym as well. A lot of our young guys and gals in the gym look up to Patrick. He has to be the most composed fighter I have ever seen enter the cage! Its funny to see him fight and the next day in the gym he has kids sitting on his shoulder watching the classes. All around great guy who is going to be awesome in the fight world!
