On December 7th Phillip “The Wicked” Wyman was supposed to fight Jason Nicholson… Nicholson apparently pulled the most frustrating and cowardly thing you can do to a fighter… he didn’t show up!

This is the second time Jason has pulled a no-show. Jason Nicholson will be barred from fighting in any sanctioned events in the US until fines are paid.

Phillip is very frustrated about this as he showed up like a true professional, on weight and on time ready to fight. The promoters of the show took care of Phillip and paid him his show fee and will be pursuing Nicholson in court.

Look for Phillip to fight next on January 24th against Team Trauma stand out Carlos “The Rooster” Rodriguez.

    Thanks guys!
Unfortunately the only thing for sure in this sport is nothing is for sure.
I went down to Greenville NC to fight, I made weight I stayed the evening in hopes that I would be able to get a shot in the ring. It is unfortunate that Jason Nicholson decided I was too much for him and did not show. The State of NC has a rule that you have to submit a fight card so many days prior to the event. They would not let me fight even if the matchmaker could find a replacement. I will keep my head up and try to train hard for the next possibility. 2008 has been a frustrating year and I hope 2009 is MINE!

Remember to be WICKED! It was mentioned that my fight name was too intimidating, I should change it to the Wimpy…then I would be able to get a fight.

  25. Zach says:

    December 7th, 2008at 11:11 pm(#)

That sucks, so tough for a fight to go all the way through, so many get called off, or the opponent cant make it. Your still better for all the training you put in and you’ll be ready to fight as soon as they can find you a new opponent

  26. Nate Smith says:

    December 8th, 2008at 12:10 pm(#)

No call no show no job. Jason Nicholson has to swallow that pill. Instead of fighting you last Sunday, he will be fighting his pride.

  27. tyburn says:

    December 8th, 2008at 2:07 pm(#)

Thats outrageous! He never showed up to fight you?? I hope you bloody got paid for turning up and being ready, its not YOUR fault if he didnt wanna fight you.
