We asked our fans to send some questions to our Featured Fighter and here is what we got.
Nate will be answering these shortly but feel free to ask more questions in the comments below and Nate will be sure to answer them as well.

1. What ethnicity are you?
Ha! You know, I have never really been given a straight answer. They just kind of laugh…

2. Who do you look up to in this sport?
I have have had a couple of guys win or lose that I have looked up to, but then you see some of there true colors and I sort of give up on them. I always look up to my teammates and coaches at Team Curran, they all keep me motivated and trained. Jeff Curran especially has taken good care of me and challenges me to further my career.

3. Anyone you dislike in this sport?
I don’t like DICKS, mean people suck!

4. If you could have anyone you wanted for your comeback fight who would it be?
That sort of stuff I keep to myself. I have never liked to call anyone out, I think it looks bad.

5. Manny Gamburyan just got TKO’d by Rob Emerson who has a similar style to you, how did you feel after watching that fight?
TERRIBLE!!! But that’s the way it goes I guess. You can not win all the time. Some days you’re not the better guy, some days you are.

6. How do you think a match between you and Rob Emerson would go?
I don’t watch a lot of TV, and I miss a lot of the fights cause I bartend on the weekends. Rob is a tough guy and I have herd a lot of good about the guy. I would love the challenge and granted, it would be a very tough fight but I would always be up for it.

7. You and Bart are teammates and known for throwing hands, who gets the better of each other when you spar?
I have been sparring with Bart for a few years now, and in those years we have had some pretty heated sessions. Bart comes in to a sparring session knowing he owns the ring, but some days that is not the case. There are some days when I get done and feel pretty good about it but I also have the days where I have to sit and think about what the fuck just happened. It keeps use both on our toes and pushes us individually every week to see who gets the upper hand for the night.

8. Who do you fear sparring with the most?
Bart would have to be the toughest gut I have ever sparred with. With that in mind, I don’t really fear stepping in to the ring with anyone. Not being cocky or anything, but just confident in the fact that I can always just keep my hands up.
Back when I started though, Jens always put the fear in me, which reminds me, Jens I owe you one! Hahaha… just kidding 😉

9. At the opening of your Jeff Curran’s new school, you and Jeff did a little grappling demo for the packed house… were you trying to tap your coach?
Jeff has always taught me to roll with control, and at my level can get me in trouble being to relaxed rolling with good guys. I am never ashamed of getting tap in practice. At the opening, towards the end I got him in a position that may of looked like he was in trouble, but I did not have the position for anything. More or less… more, I was just trying to save some time and get some air.

10. You also had a chance to roll with the newest guy in the UFC Amir Sadollah… how did that go?
Our school has a lot of smaller guys to roll with and not a lot of bigger guys at that leave to roll with. I was thankful that he rolled careful with me since I am nursing back from an injury and was happy to of had the opportunity to roll with him.

11. So the ladies seem to like some Nate… are you currently in a relationship?
Yes, currently I am in a relationship… Sorry ladies 😉

12. What type of woman catches your eye?
Recently I have been asked that question a lot. And still I could never give you a good answer. I am just attracted to someone and that’s the way it has always been for me? Oh and I guess I have a thing for Italians.

13. If you could meet anyone who would it be?
First to my mind would be Bruce Willis. I just thought he would be really cool to meet.

14. Favorite female celebrity?
Rihanna… Dang!

15. Favorite Movie?
Boondock Saints

16. Favorite Music?
I listen to everything, I was a band geek. Ha! Today I listen to country. Tomorrow maybe I will listen to something else?

17. Favorite TV Show?
The Office, I have to buy the seasons because I don’t have a lot of time to watch TV.

18. What hobby’s do you have besides fighting?
When ever I get a chance, I like going fishing and camping with my two older brother and my dad, and love getting out on the river boating.

19. Something you cant live without?
Halo! My online name was tired mouse. It has been awhile since I have played on line though.

20. Your most embarrassing moment?… be honest.
Yet to come, but I will say after this summer, I am retiring from golf outings. My buddy Dan Lardy is still feeling it from the last golf cart, it least that is what I was told. Sorry Dan

21. When do you think you’ll be back in the cage?
I am pushing for something after the first of the year. Fighting is a release for me so sorry to all my friends if I have been a dick the last year. The time off real gets to you when you are not ready to be done so I am excited to get back in there.

22. What is something nobody knows about Nate Mohr?
A lot of people don’t know I was pre-med and finished my under grad. Fighting and training where just hobbies but gradually took over my time. I have full intentions to go back and continue school. There will always be those people in your life that will tell you are crazy, and I like to be the guy that makes damn sure there wrong.

  25. The Deaf MMA Columnist says:

    December 10th, 2008at 6:06 pm(#)

    Nate is a beast.

Bart is never going to be as cool as Nate because he doesn’t wear sunglasses bigger than his head.

His abs are a photoshop trick.

And Amir a big guy? Ha that’s funny.

Seriously, Thanks for treating me and wife great when we were at Jeff’s opening. You don’t know how often people ignore her because she is in a wheelchair. You can tell a lot about a guy by the way they treat my wife.
